She was born in Barberton, Ohio, where she was a resident all her life and retired from Babcock & Wilcox Co. after 31 years of service. Frances was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Slovene Pensioners, B&W Women's Club, AARP, Young at Heart, the Holy Hour Program and was a Red Cross volunteer. She also enjoyed traveling and loved being the matriarch of her family and spending time with her friends.
