Leona E. Brush, 80, of Panama City Beach, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at her home. She was born in Ionia, MI, and had lived in Bay County since 1987, moving here from Akron, OH. Mrs. Brush was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, James Brush.
Survivors include her daughters, Junnalee Truax and husband Patrick of Michigan and Valerie Larson and her husband Richard of Youngstown; two sons, Laurence Brush and his wife Cecilia of North Carolina and Amasa Sears of Panama City Beach; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Northside Baptist Church with Rev. John Barton and Dr. Doug Boucher' officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends at the Northside Baptist Church from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Greg Brush, Mike Brush, Shawn Dubois, Jason Larson, William Larson and Joe Damonia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Brush's name may be made to the Shaddai Shrine Transportation Fund, 1101 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405.
