Frances graduated in 1861 from Cazenovia Seminary, Madison, New York. She and Sherrill were married circa 1871 and had three daughters, Maude, Lillian & Edith. Her daughter, Edith, kept a beautiful note book which contained Frances' sayings and poems that served as guidelines for the family. Her memorial service was held at her home at 739 Wiedler St., Portland.
