Eugene Q. Lowery, 43 years old, died at 6:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at his residence, 111 West Euclid avenue. Mr. Lowery came here ten years ago from Alabama. He was for a number of years associated with the Stowers Furniture Company. In 1909 he became manager of the Clower Furniture Company. When Mr. Stowers took charge of this firm, which was a branch house, Mr. Lowery became the company's cashier.
He served in this capacity until his health failed and he was compelled to retire. His widow, a young son and three sisters and four brothers in Alabama survive him. The funeral will be held at 4:30 o'clock Friday afternoon from the home on Euclid avenue. Rev. S. J. Porter of the First Baptist church, of which Mr. Lowery was a member, and Rev. Hugh McLellan of the Central Christian church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Mission burial park.
The pallbearers will be O. J. Woodhull, Ned McIlhenny, George C. Walker, Henry Halestein, Oscar Thomas and H. S. Affleck.
