Mrs. Minnie Gettings, 65, of Galatia died at 7:45 o'clock last night at Union hospital where she had been receiving treatment for a fracture to the right hip since Dec. 13. Mrs Gettings fell on the slippery porch at the J.H, Delaney home, 1738 East main.
She is survived by three daughters, Miss Monte Gettings, employed at the state hospital in Manteno; Mrs Willey Ryan , Galatia; Mrs John Rich near Thompsonville; and a son Otto Gettings near Thompsonville.
The body laid in state at the Ryan home in Galatia and funeral services were held at the Union Church south of Thompsonville.
