"Amelia Manning
Mrs. Amelia E. Manning, 98, of 204 Church St., Portland, died June 18 at Villa Elizabeth, Grand Rapids.
She was born July 2, 1881 in Westphalia, the daughter of Julius Keusch and Theresa (Hass).
Mrs. Manning was a member of St. Patricks Church and past president of the Altar Society.
Surviving are four sons, Ed of Portland, Clarence of Eagle, Robert of Chesaning and Daniel of Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Schramek of Kalamazoo, and Sister Mary Manning, SSJ of Nazareth; 28 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary services were held Friday at 8 p.m. from the Neller Funeral Home, Portland, with funeral Mass Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Portland with Rev. Fr. Donald Weber officiating. Burial was in Portland Cemetery."
