Born on Feb. 29, 1940, in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Martha Moore Baugh.
Ms. Raines was employed as a bank teller with First Union National Bank for 22 years and retired from Regions Bank.
She was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Laura E. and SFC David A. Tampkin; two sons and daughter-in-law, David M. and Gail M. McCauley, and Joel A. McCauley, all of Greenville, S.C. Also surviving are a grandson, Samuel A. McCauley; and her loving dog and companion, Remi.
Funeral services will be held today, Aug. 19, 2005, at 11 a.m. at The Mackey Mortuary. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today from 10 to 11 a.m. at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Pearlstone, Dr. Jeffery Giguere, the staff of the Cancer Center of the Carolinas, the Cancer Society of Greenville County Support Group, and especially Lynn Cusick, for their loving support.
The family has requested that the members of the Cancer Society of Greenville County Support Group serve as honorary escorts.
