Edward M. Jesse Sr., 64, of Girard died Monday, April 2, 2001, at his residence. He was born August 7, 1936, in Carlinville, the son of Sanford and Esther Edwards, Jesse. He married Ethel, Garrison in 1957 in Palmyra.
Mr. Jesse graduated from northwestern high school. He was retired from Fiatallis and was a security guard for DICKEY-john Corp. in Auburn.
Survivors: wife, Ethel; a son, Edward (wife, Jane) Jesse Jr. of Bloomington; two daughters, Debra (husband Donald) Giger of Decatur and Donna Maybury of Girard; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lavelle Jesse of Springfield, and Richard and John Jesse, both of West Columbia, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, the Revs. John Shelton and Lavelle Jesse officiating.
