He had three girls with Yvonne Carnice Groves and the family moved all over the world, including Ohio, Montana, South Carolina, the Philippines, and Germany. They enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, Russia, Asia, and The Middle East. Family and friends called him Jack or Jackie, and he was interested in woodworking, camping, traveling, and fishing. He spent many of his last years in the Seattle/Tacoma, Washington area where he was able to pursue his love of fishing, especially salmon in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Jack is survived by two daughters: Yvonne Allston Gilreath of Charleston,SC,; Denise Groves Gilreath of Summerville, SC; and four grandsons: Christopher Daniel Nicholson, William Andrew Nicholson, Kevin McMillan Graham, and Ryan Gilreath Graham (all Denise's sons).
