Eugene A. Knapp, 59 of Belpre, O., formerly of Ripley, died Friday at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg. He was born in Belpre, son of the late Emil and Martha E.Smith Knapp, was a member of VFW Blennerhasset Post 1212, was a World II veteran and a former captain of Statewide Security Co. in Parkersburg. Survivors include his wife, Orva Knapp; two brothers, Roy D. Knapp of Shrewsbury, Donald E. of Melbourne, Fla. Services were held Sunday at Vail Funeral Home with the Rev. Myron K. Guiles and the Rev. Phillip R. Newhart officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
