Thomas T. Bailey has a CSA pension application on line under Haralson County in the Ga Archives virtual vault. He says he enlisted as a private in Co. G of the 53 GA regiment, Simms' Brigade. At the Battle of Chancellorsville, VA on May 3, 1863 he was wounded in the right arm above the elbow, destroying the muscles and "leaders" making the arm useless. He received a $50 per year pension. Mrs. Winfred Bailey is mentioned and says he died on 11/16/1902 .
