Beverly Barber Bell, 79, wife of the late Surry E. Bell and a resident of Birdsnest, passed away May 16, 2008, in Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Greensboro, N.C., Mrs. Bell was the daughter of the late Shelton Purnell Barber and the late Daisy May Foust Barber. Mrs. Bell was a past deacon and member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Survivors include three children, Beverly B. Jimenez and her husband Robert of Cashville, John Bell and his wife Jeanette and Quinton Bell, both of Onley; four sisters, Fay Sison and Kay Dominici, both of Virginia Beach, Josephine Carlton of Tennessee and Lois Weaver of Alabama; one brother, Doyle Barber of Newport News. Mrs. Bell was predeceased by a son, Harry Fred Bell and two sisters, Pauline Vaselosky and Vivian Edwards. A funeral will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. from the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery with Dr. Howard E. Brooks Jr. officiating. Family will join friends at the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Bank Baptist Church, c/o Mike Zodun, P.O.
