Mary Rose (Donahue) Flanagan, 72, of West Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 5:30 PM Sunday [Dec. 8, 1985] in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, apparently of a heart attack. Born in Chicago, IL, June 29, 1913, she came to Tippecanoe County in 1956. She married Raymond J. Flanagan, who died Sept. 26, 1983.
Mrs. Flanagan was chief telephone operator at Purdue University, where was employed 20 years, before retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathleen and Coleen Flanagan, both of West Lafayette, and Rosemary (Mrs. Dewey) Stambaugh of Washington, IL; two sons, Patrick J. Flanagan of Lake City, FL, and Michael R. Flanagan of Hoffman Estates, IL; a sister, Rose Ann (Mrs. Robert) Kolb of Scottsdale, AZ; a brother, John Donahue of Arlington Heights, IL; and five grandsons.
