Mary Hannah Groves, 7th of 9 children born to George Jackson Groves Jr and Emma Keller Groves. She married 1)William "Bud" Thurmond Breaker (b.1871); 2) Hiram Sheppard (1871-1929). She is buried in White Church Cemetery on Hwy. 165, near Adams Run. The headstone sits behind and almost under a large bush. Immediately to the left there appears to be a small unreadable temporary marker from about the 1950's-60's? Someone has placed an old Conch shell at the base of the metal marker. Next to that small marker there is a very, very old stick of wood.It was probably placed to mark (either the top or foot) of a grave placed long ago. See photo caption.
