Marion F. Anderson, 86, of Terre Haute died at 3:36 p.m. Monday Jan. 15, 1996, in Union Hospital. He was retired from Meadowlark Farms Division of Amax. He was born Dec. 16, 1909 in Sullivan County to Franklin M. Anderson and Sarah Woodward Anderson. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Clara Squires Anderson; and one and daughter-in-law Darrell and Linda Anderson of Terre Haute; one sister, Daisy Gore of Sullivan; two grandchildren, Amy Long and Darren Anderson of Terre Haute; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Long of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Donald M. Anderson; one daughter Clara Louise Anderson; two brothers, Albert, and Medford Anderson. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Terre Haute Eagles Aerie 291 and Linton Moose Lodge. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday in Banks & Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Rev. Howard Sewell officiating. Burial is at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle.
