Clarence P. Vaughn, 91, died at 6:50 AM in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. Born in Somerset, KY, Feb. 22, 1899, he came to Lafayette in 1925 from Boswell. He married Marie Roberts on Oct. 12, 1925, in Lafayette; she survives.

Mr. Vaughn served in the Army during World War I. He was an inspector at Ross Gear Division, TRW, for 27 years retiring in 1964. He was a member of Greenbush Street Baptist Church and the Union at Ross Gear.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Clarence I. Vaughn of Lafayette; a sister, Clara Lawson of Monticello; a brother, Harvey Vaughn of Florida; a granddaughter, Sandra K. Taylor of Bloomington, IL; two great-grandsons; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
