Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Oz Twedt and Rev. Carl Peters will officiate and burial will be in Our Savior Cemetery.
Mrs. Berge was born March 1, 1908, in the Town of Liberty, daughter of the late Richard and Ida Schultz Luebke. She attended school in the Town of Liberty. She was married to Mark J. Berge Dec. 21, 1940, in the Town of Cato. Mrs. Berge was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. She was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent at Our Savior Lutheran Church and after the merger at Faith Lutheran. She was very active in the women’s organization o the former churches and the present Faith Lutheran Church women including being president of the Green Bay conference of ALC women and Northern Wisconsin district president of ALC women. Mrs. Berge took a leadership role in the quilting and soap making projects for Lutheran World Relief. She also served on Faith’s library committee. She was also a 4-H leader for the Liberty Go-Getters.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter in law, Richard and Carol of Lenexa, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. August (Ella) Schwalbe of Rural Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Mark and Carrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and one sister.
Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
