Robert J. "Yogi" Luzier, 51, of Clearfield, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born June 18, 1950, in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Elwood L. "Tuffy" and Charlotte (Jordan) Luzier. On February 14, 1970 he married the former Diana L. Kitchen, who survives at home.
He was employed by Sky Haven Coal company.
He was a member of Kerr Addition United Methodist Church and a member of F.O.E. Aerie #812, Clearfield.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons Ritchie Kitchen, Dennis Bowman and his wife Stacy, daughters Kelly Luzier Michaels and Kim Luzier all of Clearfield, grandchildren Tyler Martell, Haley Michaels, Courtney Michaels, Cassidy Bowman, Morgan Bowman and Brock Bowman, seven brothers James L. Luzier & his companion Louise, Edward D. Luzier and his wife Gloria, Frederick R. Luzier and his wife Connie, Melvin B. Luzier and his wife Penny, David A. Luzier and wife Debra, Matthew W. Luzier and his companion Beth, Richard D. Luzier all of Clearfield and Richard D. Luzier and his wife Kathy of Curwensville, PA and one sister June Read and her husband Wilbur of Avon, NY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters Barbara Jean and Shirley Mae.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Rev. Thomas R. Searfoss officiating. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of services.
