1.) Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Saturday Courier, October 1, 1881, p. 1.

Married, in Terre Haute, on Wednesday, September 21st., Mr. Bert McGee, of this place, to Miss Julia Clanton, of the former city. The young and very happy couple arrived here Thursday evening, and are at present making their home with Mr. McGee's parents. The Courier wishes Bert and his bride an abundance of happiness, good health, and prosperity.

Bert McGee, the popular cutter with Axtell Bros., will go to Indianapolis Monday where he will attend the annual meeting of the Custom Foreman Tailors' Association of Indiana. Mr. McGee is on the program in exhibit of made-up garments on "Overcoats," and "Two Coat Drafts." It goes without saying that he will do both subjects justice. In his long experiences a cutter, Bert can say what very few cutters can, that he has never had a garment of any description returned on account of misfit, and when he runs a pair of shears through a piece of cloth, he always accomplishes the end desired.

Mr. and Mrs. E. B. McGee and daughter Flossie returned yesterday afternoon from a five weeks' visit with Mrs. McGee's relatives at Centerville and Keokuk, Ia., and Matoon, Ill. They also spent a few days with friends in St. Louis.

A pony drawing a small carriage in which was seated Flossie, daughter of E.B. McGee, ran away Wednesday, upsetting the vehicle. The little girl was entangled in the top of the carriage and dragged a short distance. The pony was caught as he turned into Dr. Axtell's alley. The little girl was only slightly bruised.
