LENA M. SCHOFIELD
Funeral services for Lena M. Schofield were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1991 at the Manila L.D.S. Chapel. Bishop James Briggs officiated.
Mrs. Schofield, 82, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 1991, at the Sage View Care Center following a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident of Manila, Utah, Mrs. Schofield was born June 2, 1909 in Linwood, Utah, the daughter of John and Ratie Searle. She attended school in Linwood and Manila and later married Merlin Schofield in Linwood on Sept. 17, 1926. Mrs. Schofield was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
She is survived by her husband, Merlin Schofield, Manila; three daughters, Joyce Bilsborrow of Carlin, Nev., Dixie Moser of Manila, and Florence Christensen of Rock Springs; three sons, Don Schofield of McKinnon, Leslie Schofield of Manila and Wendell Schofield of Rock Springs; 33 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; three sister, Afton Walker of Kemmerer and Merle Larson and Pat Hanks of Salt Lake City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, John Earl and Densil; two brothers, Ralph and Verle Searle.
