He was born Nov. 12, 1894, at Mount Carmel, Utah, the son of John Alma and Francis Alice Keele Jolley. He lived at Tropic and Bryce Canyon, Utah until 15, when he moved to Basalt.
He lived in Firth, Goshen and the Blackfoot area before moving to Idaho Falls in 1946.
He married Orvella Young April 5, 1916 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Sept. 22, 1968.
A member of the LDS Church, he worked in the Sunday School, MIA and scouting and was secretary of his High Priests Quorum.
Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Nelda) Jensen of Idaho Falls and Mrs. Steve (Wilma) Andrade of Hayward, Calif.; two sons, Kenneth I. Jolley of Pocatello and Wendell R. Jolley of Goshen; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Fisher of Blackfoot and Jane Jolley of Orem, Utah; and two brothers, Udell Jolley of Los Altos, Calif., and Leonard Jolley of The Dalles, Ore.
