Mount Hope
Funeral for Robert Earl Little, 73, of Mount Hope will be today, August 18, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Jackson and John Fike officiating. Burial will be in Old Town Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Little, who died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at his home after an extended illness, was born November 12, 1937, in Lawrence County to Earl and Mary Little. Robert was a member of Lebanon Church of God. He was retired from Wolverine Tube after 21 years of employment. He resided in the Mount Hope community his entire life where he raised his family of four boys along with Iva Little, his wife of 55 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffrey Ray Little; and brothers, William, Wilburn, Hayes and Bobby.
Survivors include his wife, Iva Little; four sons, Ronnie Little (Melissa), Roger Little (Cindy), Randy Little and Rex Little (Susan); one sister, Mary Wallace; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chad Little, Brad Little, Isaiah Little, J.R. Little, Darrell Little, Jackie Wallace.
The family would like to extend thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, with special thanks to Joyce Loosier for all the love and care given to our dear loved one.
