Naomi M. Pettis, a nurse with the Freer Independent School District, and a member of the Morningside Drive Church of Christ in Alice, died July 27, 2006. She was 86. Survivors include a daughter, Phyliss Lea Redmond of Wintersville, Ohio; two sisters, Nellie Henley of George West(TX) and Tommie Harthorn of Bakersfield, Calif.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m.. Aug. 3 at Holmgreen Mortuary, Alice. Burial will be in Hahl Memorial Park
