Frank H. Buchella, 79, died at Hillcrest General Hospital after a brief illness, January 18. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif. He moved to Silver City in 1970 from San Manuel, Ariz. He was assistant general manager of Chino Mines Division in Hurley from 1938 - 1948. He was a charter member of the Sabar Temple in Tucson, Ariz. He was also a Knight Templar of Masonic Order of Ely, Nev. and a Royal Arch Mason of the State of Nevada. A charter member of the San Manuel Rotary Club, and an Honorary Member of the Silver City Rotary Club. He was a recipient of an "Outstanding Award for Contribution to the Mining Industry" from the University of Arizona. He is survived by his wife Henrietta, daughter, Mrs. William Murray Ryan of Silver City and son, Frank H. Buchella, Jr., Florence, Ariz. His sister Mrs. Albina Haas, Los Angeles, Calif., also survives him.
