North Ogden—W. David DeBloois, 16, of 312 E. Elberta Dr., died last night while playing basketball in the Junior M Men tournament.
He was a junior at Weber High School and Weber High School Seminary. A member of the LDS North Ogden First Ward, he was a teacher and explorer. About a week ago he was one of two boys to receive an award for outstanding attendance during the past year at ward meetings.
He was born May 30, 1937, in Ogden, a son of William and Pearl Holmes DeBloois, Jr.
Surviving are his parents, one brother: Michael, and two sisters: Joan and Antoinette DeBloois, North Ogden, and his grandparents, Mr. and. Mrs. William DeBloois, Sr., Ogden, and Lamoni Holmes, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the LDS North Ogden Ward, Bishop Grant Alder of the North Ogden First Ward officiating.
Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 24th Street and Adams Avenue, tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the family residence Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in North Ogden Cemetery.
