Perry R. Bennett, 69, 1027 S. 21st St., died this morning in Henry County Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Swayzee, he had lived in New Castle for 31 years. He was a retired employee of Chrysler Corp. and was a member of the Retired Workers and Old Fellows Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Effie; one daughter, Mrs. Leona Wyne of Hagerstown; one son, Robert Bennett of Spiceland; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank Farmer of Richmond; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Main and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. R.E. Pavy and Rev. Charles Johnson. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday.
