Edna Pearl Herrick, 86, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, March 26, 1998 at Tendercare in Mt. Pleasant MI. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 1998 at Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant MI with Mr. Joseph Frankenfield officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella County Commission on Aging or to the Alzheimer's Association.
She was born April 11, 1911, in Shinnston, West Virginia, the daughter of Moody D. and Iva Ann (Mason) Shackelford. She married Frank Wilkins in 1945, he preceded her in death in 1952. She married Gerald L. Herrick on June 27, 1955.
Edna was a homemaker and a saleslady working for Gittleman's and Virginias.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Herrick of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Robert Shackelford of Mt. Pleasant; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Lyon, Mary Catherine Couisno, Margaret Landeryou, Lawrence Ross, Jon Shackelford, Steven Shackelford, Enny Shackelford, Frank Shackelford, Ruth Ann McGee and Jack Abram; and many grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Dungan and Margaret Ross; two brothers, Darius Shackelford and Donald Shackelford; a niece, Dorothy Stevens; and a nephew, Tom Abram.
