Alberta Rae "Bert" Hilliard, 73, of Coleman died Sunday, June 4, 2000 at her home in Coleman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2000 at Helms Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Alberta Rae "Bert" was born Jan. 14, 1927 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of Ray Owen and Vera Gertrude (Hardgrove) Foster.
Bert lived in Coleman for 10 years after moving from the Midland and Mt. Pleasant areas.
Bert was a homemaker and member of the Black Creek Conservation Club, the VFW post 3033 Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by her children, Carmen (Steve) Tolman of Sanford, Mich., Dennis (Denise) Hilliard of Fla., Dana (Mindy) Hilliard of Coleman, and Robert (Sharon) Hilliard of Auburn, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Roger Foster of Birch Run, Mich.; brother-in-law, Joseph Hastings of Luther, Mich.; sisters, Cora (Buhl) Billsby of Shepherd, and Trudy Gable of Evart; and life long friend, Hope Keys of Berrien Springs, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Joseph; four sisters, Lucretia Morford, Mary Hastings, Edith Fullerton, and Helen Foster; son, Michael Allen Foster.
