Wednesday, February 2, 2000 Horace Greenhill Services for Horace Greenhill, 82, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sanders Memorial chapel with the Rev. Jimmy McGuire officiating. Burial wlll be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. He died Feb. 1, 2000, at his home. He was born July 20, 1917, in Lubbock. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1934. He married Oleta McNeely on Dec. 23, 1937, in Clovis, N.M. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He farmed in the New Deal community until 1965, and then was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was involved with several square dance clubs from 1955 to 1990. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Virginia Andrews of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Meals on Wheels or to a favorite charity. (Information provided by June Barker)
