William Riley Boggess, 79 year old retired farmer of Jackson and Roane counties, died Saturday at his home at Liverpool following two years illness.

Mr. Boggess was born near Meadowdale, Jackson County, Nov. 11, 1860, the son of George and Mildred SMITH Boggess. He was married to Lena Parrish on September 20, 1888.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Guy of Spencer; one daughter, Mrs. Gay McCoy of Huntington, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

William was the son of George W. Boggess & Martha Mildred SMITH.
