MURRAY, Ky. -- Services for Derek Glisson, 21, of Murray will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Churchill-Imes Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Norvell officiating. Burial will be at Outland Cemetery.
Mr. Glisson died at 1:15 p.m. Monday in a farming accident on Faxon Road.
He was employed by Swift Farms and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Glisson was an agriculture major and a member of the Block & Bridle Club at Murray State University.
Surviving are his parents, Bill and Jeanna Swift Glisson; one sister, Laura Glisson of Murray; his grandparents, Robert Swift and Yolanda Glisson, both of Murray; his great-grandmother, Oleta Swift of Murray; two uncles, Steve Swift and Charles Glisson, both of Murray; one aunt, Phyllis Smith of Murray; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley Swift and Edward Glisson.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
