and the couple's oldest daughter.
Stella was the granddaughter of Maples
Long and Mahala 'Atchley' Long and
Henry Bohannon and Amanda 'Garrett'
Bohannon.
She married Doctor John Milton
Thompson. They were married at Marble
City, Arkansas on Dec. 17, 1891. The
couple lived in Watkins, Marble City,
Valley Springs and Gaither, Arkansas.
Then during 1894, the couple moved to
Texas, living in several towns there.
At one time later living in Oklahoma
they owned and operated a private
hospital. Stella was always very helpful
to her husband and his practice.
Stella and Dr. John were the parents
of 4 children:
Russell S.
Bannie Lee
Bonnie Mae
John Maples
