William R. Gant, 70, died at 2 a.m. Saturday at General Hospital. He lived at 226 N. 18th and had been a watchman for the past 10 years at Stratton & Terstegge. He was a native of Logan County, Kentucky.
Survivors include his widow, the former Rosemary Cotton; two stepdaughters, the Misses Carolyn Sue and Rosalie Goodman, and two stepsons, Daniel J. and Henry L. Goodman.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Schoppenhorst Brothers Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market. Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.
