THE TULSA TRIBUNE, Tulsa Oklahoma, 15 August 1938, PARALYSIS FATAL TO ELLIOTT BOY, "Graveside services for Rex Hardin Elliott, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Elliott, 1112 S. Galveston av. who died Sunday morning of infantile paralysis were held at 4 p. m. today from Memorial park with Rev. E. A. Patterson activities director of the First Baptist church in charge. The boy was placed in an iron lung Thursday. It was Tulsa's first death from infantile paralysis in several months. — Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Ross W. and Jack T. Elliott, both of the home. — Services will be under the direction of the Harold Bailey Funeral home." (His two older brothers Ross and Jack lived long lives.)
