Funeral services will be at ?:30
a.m. Tuesday, at Holy Family
Church, Lidderdale, for Anthony J.
Knobbe, 60, who died at 8:30 p.
m. Saturday at his.home one mile
east and two and one-quarter miles
north of Lidderdale. He had been
ill since November.
The Rev. Clemens Knobbe of
Lake City, a nephew, will officiate
at the requiem mass. Burial will
be in St. Mary's cemetery at Willey.
Rosary Tonight
The body was returned at 2 p.nr.
Monday from the Olerich Funeral
home to the family residence,
where the rosary will be prayed at
8 p.m. Monday.
Mr. .Knobbe,, son of Clem and
Mary Knobbe, was a life'long resident
of Carroll County. He Was
born July 27, 1892, at Breda and
had attended the Breda and Willey
schools.
He had lived in his present home
since 1927. , Mr. Knobbe was married twice.
His first wife died in 1927; On Sept.
27, 1938, he was married to Mary
Haberl, who survives.
Other survivors include iiive
daughters and one son.: Mrs. Eibuis
(Corrine) Hansman, Carroll; Mrs.
Leo (Carole) Snyder, Breda;.Clinton
. Knobbe, Glidden; Mrs; .Virgil
(Cletus) Tannhill, Yetter; and Patricia
and Kay at home; two brothers,
John. Knobbe, Dedham, and
Henry Knobbe, Breda, and two sisters,
Mrs. Mary Lueke and Mrs.
Ann Wessling. One son died at the
age of two years.
Mr. Knobbe ,was a member of
Holy Family Church/ Lidderdale,
and the Holy Name Society of the
parish.
War I Veteran
A veteran of World War I, he
was a member of the American Legion
Post at Breda. Serving in the
engineers' division, he had been in
the European theater for half a
year.'--
