John was united in marriage in Springfield, Massachusetts to the fomer Constance Marie Samson.
For over 20 years, Mr. Luettich was a teacher in the Aurora School System. He was later employed by both the Burling Northern Railraod and the Oswego Post Office. John was a true sports enthusiast. He was ana avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, golfing and hockey. John enjoyed nothing more than starting his day with a cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle. He was a veteran of the USAF having served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Connie of Yorkville; four children, Arnold Luettich of Plano, Mark (Jacqueline) Luettich of Yorkville, Nancy (Gary) Grandgeorge of Somonauk, Ruth (Jeff) Henricks of Batavia; then grandchildren, Melissa and Nolan Lee of Yorkville, Rebecca Pinks, Lauren and Austin Luettich of Yorkville, Alex and Emma Grandgeorge of Somonauk, Anna, Caroline and Audrey Henrichs of Batavia; his mother, Celeste Luettich of Oswego; also one brother, Richard (Joyce) Luettich of Saannah, Georgia; three sisters, Joanne (David) Wise of Biloxi, MIssissippi, Susan (Leo) Froelich of Goreville and Sally Martin of Oswego; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his fathewr, John K. Luettich, Sr. and two daughters, Lynn Ann Luettich on December 12, 1981 and KAren Lee on November 18, 1982.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 17, 1997 at the Larson Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, Interment of cremains will be private in Elmwood Cemetery in Yorkville.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 16, 1997 from 4 to 7 pm at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville.
