Burial was in Saints. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Cemetery in Taunton, MN.
Rose Mary Kloos was born January 26, 1936 in Taunton, MN, the daughter of John & Delores (Eischens) Kloos.
She was baptized, received First Communion and was confirmed at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
On November 11, 1953, she married Lionel Fales in Taunton.
In the spring of 1954, they moved to a farm south of Porter, where they farmed for about a year and then moved to Georgia. They lived in Georgia until Lionel was discharged from the U.S. Army. They moved back to the area and settled on a farm southeast of Canby, which they still own to this day.
Rose Mary loved to live and raise her family on the farm. She embraced every part of living on the farm by planting & harvesting a huge garden and even helping with field work & chores. She took pride in canning her garden crop. There was always plenty of food to eat whenever anyone came to visit & play cards with Lionel & Rose Mary.
She always put other peoples' needs first and thought about herself last. Rose Mary enjoyed when her grandkids would come to the farm and stay as long as they wanted. She would teach them to play cards at a very young age. She also enjoyed playing the accordion.
Rose Mary was a very devotional servant of God. She taught CCD in Taunton. Her faith was a big part of her life and she made sure that she passed that on to her family.
Rose Mary was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church until it closed and then became a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rose Mary was an active member of the Porter American Legion Auxiliary Unit #0457. She last served as president before being diagnosed with cancer last year.
She is survived by her husband, Lionel of Canby; 8 children, Lowell (Lois) Fales of Canby, Lyle (Jean) Fales of Canby, Loren Fales of Taunton, Leon Fales of Arizona City, AZ, Larry Fales of Canby, Lori (Dan) Drietz of Canby, Vicky (Heidi) Fales of Dunedin, FL and Randy (Sandi) Fales of Porter; 27 grandchildren; nine great grand-children; two sisters, Margie Breyfogle & Bonnie Hummel; two brothers, Myron Kloos & Ray Kloos; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Kloos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda; and two brothers, LeRoy Kloos and Robert Kloos.
Blessed be her memory.
