Elizabeth Allis Braithwaite of 48th Street died Dec. 1, 1997, at her home in Virginia Beach with her loving family at her side after a short but courageous fight with cancer.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Allis Kuder and Paul M. Kuder. She was the widow of W.S. "Duck" Braithwaite of Virginia Beach, and was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth P. Price.
Survivors include her sons, W.S. Braithwaite Jr. and Watson A. Braithwaite, both of Virginia Beach, James B. Braithwaite, of Southern Shores, N.C.; and her six grandchildren, Matthew S. Price, W.S. Braithwaite III, Stacey R. Braithwaite, Brittany B. Smith, Watson A. Braithwaite Jr. and Brian Braithwaite.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Wednesday Dec. 3, 1997, at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery by Dr. J. Scottie Griffin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
