COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY - 08/21/2011 - FORD, ANNA EVELYN STROTHER, 93, died on August 14, 2011. She was a native of Rochester, KY and lived in Owensboro, KY for many years. She moved to Louisville in 1957. She was a retired employee of the University of Louisville School of Education and a faithful 50-year member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing bridge and Uof L basketball. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and James; her husband, Thomas Edward Ford; and her son, Tommy. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann "Judy" Ford of Lexington, KY; as well as many special family members. Visitation for friends and family will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the parlor at Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Ave. A private burial will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery, Owensboro. Memorial gifts may be made to the Crescent Hill Baptist Church music ministry, 2800 Frankfort Ave., Louisville, KY 40206 or to The Lexington Singers, P.O. Box 23002, Lexington, KY 40523.
