DOROTHY E. TRUESDELL, 1919-2009
Dorothy E. Truesdell, 90, of rural Clark, died unexpectedly Monday December 21, 2009. at her home.
Services will be at 11a.m. Wednesday, December 23, at Cater Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Chapel Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
Mrs. Truesdell was born January 28, 1919 in Clark, a daughter of Joseph and Esther Bentley Darwent. She received an associate of arts degree from Moberly Junior College and taught at Chapel Grove Country School before her marriage.
Dorothy married Gene Truesdell on Oct. 16, 1942, in Hattisburg, Miss., and he survives. Also surviving are son Richard Truesdell and wife Gail of Clark; daughter Nancy and husband Tim Scott of California, Mo., eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Genevieve Green of Moberly; other relatives and friends.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Allan Truesdell.
