He served in the Army during World War 1 and was active as a high priest in the Ogden 12th LDS Ward.Surviving are one son and one daughter,Richard R Carlson,Bellevue,Wash.;Mrs Jack(Jolene)Parcell,Beaverton Ore.;four grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11am in the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden with Bishop George Bell of the 12th Ward officiating.Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. andWednesday prior to services.Interment in Ogden City Cemetery.
