Joseph Waldemar Carlson,79,Ogden died Saturday in a local nursing home. MrCarlson was born March2,1896,in Ogden,a son of Axel A and Johanna Carlson.On March 17, 1920,he was married to Blanche Rhees in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She died in 1973.He was former and manager of the Ogden Adjustment Bureau and had been a funeral director in Ogden for many years prior to retiring.
He served in the Army during World War 1 and was active as a high priest in the Ogden 12th LDS Ward.Surviving are one son and one daughter,Richard R Carlson,Bellevue,Wash.;Mrs Jack(Jolene)Parcell,Beaverton Ore.;four grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11am in the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden with Bishop George Bell of the 12th Ward officiating.Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. andWednesday prior to services.Interment in Ogden City Cemetery.
