Wife 2: married Toy Marie 'Sistene' Etchison on May 28, 1924; Toy is buried in Sherman, TX (West Hill Cemetery)
William Pouncey Jemison came to Oklahoma from Texas about 1893. He was the manager of a sawmill in Texas when he decided to move to Indian Territory in the area that became Coal County. He knew nothing about farming or stock raising, but being able and determined, he worked hard and succeeded. He was a man of strong convictions, straight forward and dependable, and a natural born leader. Many years ago he was listed in "Who's Who in Oklahoma."
After Eula's death in Sep 1923, he married Toy Marie Etchison on May 28, 1924 in Atoka. She had been employed as the family's school teacher. His death came at the age of 72. He is buried in the Oconee cemetery besides his eldest son, Joe, whom he lost in 1906 at the age of 14. He had six daughters that lived to adulthood and only one adult son, Mack.
