KEEZLETOWN — C. Owen Armentrout, 68, of Rt. 1, Keezletown died Sunday at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Chariottesville. Mr. Armentrout had been in the hospital 13 weeks. He was a farmer and a Rockingham County school bus driver.

Mr. Armentrout was born in Harrisonburg Jan. 9, 1916, and was a son of the late Clarence W. and Emma Liskey Armentrout.

He was a trustee of Trinity Lutheran Church and also served on the church council and taught Sunday school. Mr. Armentrout was a past president of the Keezletown Ruritan Club, a director of the Rockingham Farm Bureau Association and an election official at Keezletown Precinct.

On June 5, 1941, he married Velda Eye, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Janet A. Cooley of Rt. 3, Harrisonburg and Ramona A. Ritchie of Rt. 1, Keezletown; two sons, Weldon O. Armentrout of Rt. 3, Harrisonburg and C. Dennis Armentrout of Rt. 1, Keezletown; a sister, Naomi A. Koontz of Rt. 1, Keezletown; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. Ray Hatcher. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery.

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 p.m. today. The family said memorial contributions
may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of D. R. Cooley Jr., Rt. 3, Harrisonburg, 22801.
