Patricia Ann Stapleton Scalf, age 77, of Harold, Ky., passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Signature HealthCare, Pikeville.
She was born November 29, 1933, in Pike County, Ky., the daughter of Mollie Click Stapleton and "W.M." William Stapleton.
She was a Homemaker and a member of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Clayton Scalf, three daughters, Debbie Scalf, Ronnita Scalf Adams and Sandra Kay Scalf, one brother, Buel "Sonny" Stapleton, two sisters, Frankie Meade and Margrite Stevens.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Eugene Scalf, one sister, Sue Bush of Charleston, South Carolina, three grandchildren, Kristy Branham of Lexington, Ky., David Blanton and Anna Blanton both of Winchester, Ky.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at J.W. Call Funeral Home, with Tracy Patton of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Stapleton Family Cemetery at Harold, Ky.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Paul Layne, Brian Stapleton, Joseph Toth and Bobby Branham.
