KATHLEEN M. MOSES, 88, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011. Born July 30, 1923, in Garrett, Ind., she was the daughter of Avon and Lydia (Gieser) Connor. She attended nursing school at then-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. She was an active member of Calvary Third United Presbyterian Church and Lydia Circle, enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bridge, and was an avid IU basketball fan. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Ron) Gumbert; sister, Marilyn Morris; grandchildren, Kristin (Patrick) Milne, David Gumbert, Neely (Eric) Bultemeier, Sean Gumbert; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, William Charles Moses; sister, Rosie Custer; and beloved grandson, Andrew Gumbert. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with the Rev. Victor Kolch officiating. Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, please make gifts to the Alzheimer's Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
