OBITUARY (From The News, Frederick, MD - June 10, 1976, pg. #5)

Mrs. Mary Belle Darr, 88, of Brunswick, died Wednesday, June 9, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louie Edward Darr and the daughter of the late Daniel W. Ayers and Mary A. Hough Ayers.

She resided for many years with Benny Harsh and family, Nancy and Galen, in Brunswick.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nannie McCoy, St. Petersburg, Fla., four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Darr was president of Pearl's Potomac 178, a member of B&O Veterans Auxiliary, Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance Auxiliary, Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliar, Pythian Sisters, the American Association of Retired Persons, Carmen Loyal Star, Democratic Club, Bethany Lutheran Church, Pocahontas, and an honorary member of Frederick Eagles Auxiliary 1136.

Friends may call at the Feete Funeral Home, Brunswick, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 10, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 11. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, with the Rev. Ralph Miller and the Rev. Douglas Strachan officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul's Cemetery, Pt. of Rocks.
