A large crowd from here attended the funeral of Charles Lindberg, at Essex, Sunday. He was one of the early settlers of Fremont Township.

Charles A. Lindberg, son of Jonas Johnsson and Anna Marie, was born June 27, 1842 in Smoland, Sweden and died in 1916 in Page County, Iowa. He married Mary Sophia Nelson in 1877. Children: Albert, Amanda, Elmer, Ida, Robert, Agnes, Anna, Emma, and Lawrence.
