GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY - 03/30/1966
John Will Gupton, 75, a retired farmer of the Saloma Community, died at Rosary Hospital [March 28, 1966] after an extended illness. He was born in Green County, December 21, 1890 the son of T.V. & Lolie Bridgewater Gupton. He was married to Ive Russell, December 5th, 1915. They were the parents of 3 sons. Surviving are sons, Ralph & Alvin both at home. One son Thomas died in 1943. He also leaves 4 sisters, Mrs. Josie Franklin, Mrs. Elizabeth Wallace and Mrs. Maud DeMar all of Louisville and Mrs. Grace Robinson of Bowling Green. Mr. Gupton leaves several nieces and nephews. Services will be held today, March 30th in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral at 2 o'clock with the Revs. Roy Alexander, Joe Hampton and Earl Pike officiating. Burial will be in the Saloma Cemetery. Mr. Gupton was a member of the Methodist Church. Pallbearers were Hovie Noe, Piercy Hill, James Willis, Murrell Hazard, Everett Issac and William E. Peters.
Mr. Gupton was a retired farmer.
