Born in Toronto, ON, he was a son of the late Phillip Ross and Ethel (McElmon) Addison.
Mike worked for many years in the Fire and Safety Profession.
He enjoyed spending his time working on writing his books on Canadian Sports and Canadian Inventions.
He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Anderson; son Jeffrey (Leah), Valley; daughter Lindsay Swinemer (Aaron), Upper Musquodoboit; Grandchildren, Alyssa and Wesley; brother, Andrew (Linda) Peterborough, ON; sister Judith Ross (Terry), Peterborough, ON.
Visitation will take place from 1 pm until funeral service time at 2 pm, Tuesday, August 23rd, in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Lori Ramsey will officiate with interment to follow in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. Donations in Mike's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
