Richard W. Elgin, 36, 816 William Charles Ct, Green Bay, WI. (and former resident of Rock Falls) died Friday of an apparent heart attack in Memphis, TN.
Funeral services were held Monday at 11am at the Schauer-Schumaker funeral home with the Rev. Dean Kilgust officiating. Burial was in the Ft. Howard Cemetery.
He was born April 21, 1939 in Rock Falls, the son of William and Elvera (Davion) Elgin. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Sandra Anderegg March 1, 1975.
He is survived by his wife, three children of a previous marriage, Dodie, Debra and Richard Jr., all of Rock Falls; five sisters, Mrs Lavonne Folyer of Darien, WI, Mrs Betty Forrester, Sioux City, WI, Mrs Patricia Bloyer of Freeport, Mrs Shirley McCloud of Sterling and Mrs Rose Sheley of Sterling; two half brothers, Robert and Leslie Stern, both of CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
